Las taquillas, tanto en España como en USA, no acaban de ser todo lo brillantes que se esperaba en estas pasadas semanas. En Estados Unidos la cosa no es tan grave, consecuencia de un par de semanas de estrenos más flojos de lo esperado, pero en España las cifras son poco menos que terroríficas. Con todo hay sus justificaciones y si se miran con cierto detalle las cifras, hay incluso una cierta normalidad comparando con pasados años, pero no dejan de ser alarmantemente bajas.
Ante esta realidad es interesante mover la mirada a otros elementos como la televisión. Esta semana llama la atención como el estreno de la miniserie Hatfields & McCoys ha batido el récord al convertirse en el programa más visto en la televisión por cable en la historia de Estados Unidos, un mérito más que relevante. Lo destacable es este triunfo después de años con descensos en el número de suscriptores a la televisión por cable.
