Empieza la Semana Santa y este fin de semana pasado ha sido el primero del año que supera el mismo periodo de 2011, sin mucha diferencia ni mucha alegría, pero algo es algo. Las cifras no van bien. A la espera de contabilizar todas las cifras, este primer trimestre ha dejado un descenso que se moverá entre un 25 y un 28%, según Rentrak, y que dejará su peor parte para el cine español. Muy posible es que se coloque en sus peores datos desde 2005 pese al estreno de algunos productos que aparentemente deberían haber sido mayores éxitos.
La situación no solo política, sino económica, de demanda y del mercado en si obliga a remodelar todo. El pensamiento de "ai, es que si la película se estrena a la vez en internet me comerá mi pastel". Fuera este pensamiento. No tiene sentido porque no hay pastel. Hay un Donete como mucho. Y si hablamos de cine español, un Lacasito. Ahora toca pensar como devolver todo esto al pastel. Se puede, eso está claro. En general, el cine necesita reducir las expectativas y adaptarlas a la demanda real (número de cines y pantallas por ejemplo), buscar y potenciar un tipo de producto que ahora mismo funciona y cambiar la estrategia con los otros. Investigar un poco más el conjunto del mercado y mil otras cosas.
